Eric, Just found out about that blog of yours. I had seen online a little of your plain-air studies in the past, sketchbook extracts, but it is also great to read you, on top of that. Another inspiration to go pigment, thank you. I will explore your links. If you were to be in Paris, there is a dual Sargent/Sorolla at the "petit palais", until mid may, roughly.
Thanks for your interst in teaching or workshops Quentin. I have taught some private painting sessions here and there, but I would like to do a workshop down the road. I've been invited to teach one in LA this past month, but I am busy working on an animated feature - art directing and have limited time, plus add a wonderful little baby to the mix and my plate is very full.

Stunning! I like the overall colors and the pool of light hitting the edge of the crippled crane.

Nice one!
I like the school bus yellow aspect of it.
I enjoy how directly and simply you suggest the architecture of the crane and boats. And, as always in your work, the feeling of light and air.
Fabulous. I could stare at it all day. The colors are great and the feel is just wonderful.
Erik,
do you ever teach or do workshops? In LA or SD ? Specifically color and visual development stuff.
thanks
