Watercolor / Gouache sketches - very small 2.5 x 4.5 inches and one that is 3 x 6 inches. The darker tree themed one was inspired by my trip to Yale- British Museum of Art in New Haven, CT. A small but nice collection of Turners, Constable and Bonningtons among others. A couple of the other sketches are very rapid along the shoreline in CT and Nantucket, Mass.

Stunning Eric!
I like the mood you've brought to each of the paintings and i really really enjoyed the brush strokes on the tree.

So dynamic ! Love the color, mood, and the way you lay down your brush on the surface, and mix over another . . .

WOW...beautiful stuff!! Each one captures a different mood and feel. Really like the rendering of the tree on the second and the looseness of the third.

All nice but the third down is just stunning. Belongs in the museum.

awesome stuff as always erik! i really like how much detail you can get into such small surfaces.. each piece feels reminiscent of a different painter.. kroyer, sargent, seago, constable..

More beautiful work! I've been to that museum, it is really nice with a ton of amazing work. Your tree painting is very nice and the one under it reminds me of a Sargent. Amazing!

Great stuff. Could you give a little overview of how you scan watercolors? I can never get the right color balance.

Thanks!
