As promised a few shots from my demo lecture on a recent gouache/watercolor painting.

I am writing a twenty page plus breakdown of the process and it should be informative for those interested in learning more about gouache painting and how to start simply when developing more complex imagery.

I will keep you posted when that is ready in the near future. The tutorial will be available as a PDF for viewing. I am considering a small fee for the time I am putting into it.

Hi, certainly looking forward to the guide, and hope the price won't be prohibitive :) (though it is up to you, of course!)

I'm looking forward to that. I've done a lot of watercolor and oil but I'm still figuring out how to work with gouache (it darkens so much!)

Next time you have a workshop in the SFO area, I'm there.

Got your DVD and it's more than worth it. Will even buy the book if you ever plan to publish one...

Incredibly excited as I've always had gouache around the studio, but was never confident enough to use it! I'm truly inspired and that piece looks absolutely masterful. Oh, and thanks for these wonderful process tutorials.

Only problem I have with it is, I don't think a cathedral would be built so close to a waterfront, at least not without a lot more piers and things surrounding it... With that being said, it's an incredible piece. The sense of depth is awe-inspiring...
