Beautiful. Brought to mind an illustrated Spanish edition of Don Quixote De La Mancha that my father brought back from Spain in the 1950's.
By the way Erik, I don't know if you know Joseph Vernet. You might really like his work (I'm studying is way to depict skies, and it made me think about your way to approach it).

I admire Joseph Vernet's work quite a bit. I love the theatrical cave grotto/seaport scenes with storm dramas thrown into the mix. The weight of Claude Lorrain's work must have been immense for him while in
Rome in the 1700's.
